Unfortunately, many rural communities in West Bengal continue to face severe challenges in accessing clean water, leading to serious health risks and hardship for families. At Talib Educational and Charitable Trust, we are committed to changing this reality through our Access to Clean Water Initiative.

Why This Initiative is Urgent:

In numerous villages across West Bengal, families are forced to rely on unsafe water sources, exposing themselves to life-threatening waterborne diseases such as diarrhea, cholera, and typhoid. Women and children, in particular, bear the brunt of this crisis, walking miles every day to fetch water—an effort that often comes at the cost of their health, education, and opportunities for economic growth.

To address this urgent need, our Access to Clean Water Initiative aims to install handpumps and water wells in the most vulnerable communities, providing them with a consistent and clean water supply. By offering a reliable source of potable water, we can significantly improve health standards, reduce hardships, and uplift entire communities.

What We Aim to Achieve:

• Educate Communities: Teach communities about water conservation, sanitation practices, and facility maintenance.
• Regular Monitoring: Ensure all installed systems are functioning correctly to serve the community in the long term.
